Christmas Lights Cruise

20 December 2014

We started out with 12 cars and a BBQ dinner at Mick and Diannes. It certainly wasn’t what you would call an uneventful cruise, cars were either lost, held up by other light gazers, or waiting for the ones that were lost.  Scott was driving the XR panel van which had to be pushed off the road by Ross and Anne-Marie when the accelerator broke, fortunately he fixed it pretty quickly and we were on the road again without too much drama

Christmas Party

13 December 2014

The Christmas party was a fun night for all who attended.  There were presents for everybody, lots of food, lots of laughs and most of all lots of good friends.

Kiss My Fish - Rochedale

15 November 2014

Our November Saturday night run was to Kiss My Fish at Rochedale.  It had been a very hot day and it was nice to get out in the cooler evening, and once again we had a very good attendance with 16 members and a total of 22 people all up.

Mt Tamborine Run

October 2014

Only a couple of people showed up at Waterford Bridge for the run to Mount Tamborine, Karen, Di and Mick and they picked up Tom along the way at the Bearded Dragon.   Karen and Di went for a walk up to the roadside stall and bought avocados, pumpkin, rhubarb and yummy honey and also were watching a number of hang gliders flying around.  The temperature was much more pleasant up there as it was a hot day.   Had morning tea and then left at lunchtime.

Ferry Rd Diner Dinner Cruise

18 October 2014

Our Saturday night dinner run for October to the Ferry Road Diner was a nice easy cruise down the M1, the night was cool and we had a procession of 10 classic cars and a group of 13 members plus guests.   The food was great, and judging by the pictures, we all had very healthy appetites, hey Tom

2014 Bathurst 1000 BBQ

12 October 2014

A few Club members got together at Scott and Karens to watch the 2014 great race. Some of the members were so enthralled by the safety car interrupted race and that Holden's led most of the race (and were unfairly penalised by Frosty's error). We're sure that they recovered as Triple Eight ran short of their Caltex at the appropriately named Caltex Chase

Mt Alford Hotel

28 September 2014

Combined run with Thunderbirds of Qld. We all met up and  there were 19 cars parked in the Caltex servo, we joined up with  Mark and Kerrin in their GTs along the way at Willowbank, so 21 cars all up. We stopped at Aratula to stretch our legs and have a browse around the antique shop, while a few took advantage of the stop to go to the very popular bakery for some very creamy treats. We were soon on the road again and headed for the hotel. There were 43 of us and they set us up all together in the cool of the outside eating area where we all enjoyed some good pub food

All Ford Day

20 July 2014

For those of us with Fords, the All Ford Day is one day on the show calendar not to be missed.  Held at Willowbank for the first time, it was a huge success with over 620 cars on show and around 4,000 spectators through the gate.  There were extra activities to keep people interested, there was drag racing for those that wanted to put their car to the test, a swap meet, trade stalls and remote control car racing.  All Classics did well winning 5 trophies in all. Karen Woolston picked up 2 for her 1926 Ford Tourer hotrod, Tony Sullivan picked up Best Wagon for his Mercury station wagon and Anne-Marie picked up one each for her XY ute and Thunderbird.

Wellington Point Lunch Run

29 June 2015

A windy day. We had a good turnout of members with 12 cars. It was a typical Queensland winters day, beautiful ble sky with crispness in the air.
